SUPERSTITION FIELD FLYING RULES

1. Sport Flyers Association, AMA, or MAAC (Canadian) Insurance is required.

2. Do not taxi to or from the pit area. All AMA and/or SFA safety rules apply at all times.

3. The direction of the wind and/or the arrow at the top of the board will indicate the take off and landing direction. If unsure of the pattern ask someone.

4. All radios must be narrow band or 6 meters. Surrender your transmitters to the impound area upon arrival to the field.

5. If you are still an inexperienced pilot and cannot safely solo fly your airplane, please seek assistance. We will be glad to help you.

6. If you are an experienced pilot and must "Hot Dog" your airplane, please do so on the far side of like runway. Always have someone stand with you to spot other aircraft that might be landing or taking off. Please respect everybody's right to his or her own airspace.

7. We do require mufflers at this field. We have had complaints about the non-use of mufflers on some planes. You will be asked not to start your engine until you obtain the proper muffler.

8. There are five flight stations designated by the yellow parking blocks. Stand directly behind these flight station blocks when flying. Fly your airplane on the far side of the dead line located fifteen feet out from the flight stations. If you continue to break this dead line rule, you will be asked not to fly.

9. There are no trashcans provided. Please keep this area clean by taking all your own trash with you including discarded rubber bands, broken airplane parts, cigarette butts etc.

10. NO alcoholic beverages are allowed at this flying field!

11. Safety officers have final say over enforcement of these rules. If there is a dispute it will be addressed at the next regular meeting of the East Valley Aviators.

12. All pets must be kept on a leash.
